1. What WeContact Does

WeContact provides individuals and businesses with a platform to create premium digital identities, consolidate contact links, and share them seamlessly via custom URLs and QR codes.

2. The Public Nature of Your Profile

By design, the core function of WeContact is to share your information. You understand and agree that:

• Your profile (including name, bio, avatar, and added links) is publicly accessible to anyone on the internet.
• Anyone who scans your QR code or visits your unique URL can view and save your contact information.
• Search engines (like Google) may index your public profile.

3. Information We Collect

To provide our services, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Data: Your email address for OTP authentication or third-party login tokens (e.g., Facebook OAuth).
• Profile Data: Information you voluntarily input, such as names, phone numbers, social media URLs, and bios.
• Media: Images uploaded for avatars or custom link icons.
• Automatically Collected Data: IP addresses, browser types, device identifiers, and platform usage statistics.

4. How We Use Your Data & No-Spam Guarantee

We use your data strictly to operate and improve our platform:

• To authenticate your login and secure your account.
• To render your public digital business card.
• No-Spam Guarantee: We will never sell your email address or personal data to third-party marketing agencies. Emails are strictly used for security (OTP) and essential account updates.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We utilize browser local storage to enhance user experience:

• We store lightweight data locally on your device to remember UI preferences (Dark/Light mode, Language) and to maintain a local history of profiles you have scanned.
• We do not use invasive cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Device Permissions & Camera Access

Our built-in QR Scanner requires camera access:

• Camera permissions are used strictly for scanning WeContact QR codes.
• All image processing happens locally on your device. We do not record, transmit, or store video feeds or photos on our servers.

7. Profile Analytics & Anti-Bot Protection

We provide creators with insights while respecting visitor privacy:

• Anonymous Tracking: We aggregate total profile views and link clicks. We do not reveal the IP address or exact identity of visitors to the profile owner.
• API Abuse: The use of automated bots, web scrapers, or scripts to generate fake views, fake clicks, or mass-create profiles is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent account bans.

8. User Content, DMCA & Liability

Users are solely responsible for the content they publish. WeContact operates merely as a hosting platform.

• No Endorsement: We do not verify or guarantee the safety or legality of any links, numbers, or text added by users.
• Intellectual Property: Users must own or have rights to the images and logos they upload. If a valid copyright/trademark claim (DMCA) is raised, we will remove the infringing content.
• Disclaimer of Liability: WeContact and its parent company Enniyam are not liable for any damages, losses, scams, or disputes arising from interactions with user profiles or external links.

9. Zero-Tolerance Policy & Law Enforcement

We maintain a safe environment through strict enforcement:

• Prohibited Content: Profiles promoting political violence, extremism, hate speech, malware, phishing, or adult material will be permanently banned immediately.
• Law Enforcement Cooperation: If an official police complaint (FIR) or legal subpoena is filed regarding fraudulent activities on a profile, we will fully cooperate with law enforcement, including handing over the offending user’s IP address and login history.
• Moderation Rights: We reserve the absolute right to suspend or delete any profile at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

10. Third-Party Links

User profiles contain links to external websites and social networks. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of these external destinations.

11. Data Storage & Cloud Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your account backend:

• Your data is hosted on highly secure, international cloud servers (via Supabase). By using our service, you consent to the global processing of your data.
• We employ Database Row Level Security (RLS) to prevent unauthorized access to your private account settings.

12. Your Privacy Rights

You maintain full control over your profile data:

• You can access, edit, or remove any link or text from your dashboard at any time.
• You may request complete account deletion by contacting our support team.

13. Account Inactivity & Data Deletion

To optimize server performance and clean up unused data, WeContact reserves the right to automatically delete user profiles that have been completely inactive (no logins, no updates) for a continuous period of more than 12 months.

14. Children's Privacy

WeContact is designed as a professional networking and digital identity tool. Our services are not directed at, nor do we knowingly collect personal information from, children under the age of 18.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Master Privacy Policy and Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal disputes or proceedings arising out of the use of WeContact shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Tamil Nadu, India.
